While it is unlikely that we will see a case of Ebola in Ireland it is important that all our patients are aware of the protocols we have in place.
If you have any reason to think that you may be at risk of having Ebola…
and
- Have recently travelled through or return from one of the countries affected by Ebola within last 21 days (Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia or Nigeria)
- You have a fever >38.6 C (or history of fever)?
- You have a history of significant exposure to Ebola?
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY TO BE ASSESSED.
The nature of our surgery is such that you will be compromising the health of all our staff and patients as we do not have isolation facilities, nor are we equipped to safely assess your condition, despite what may be reported in the media.
By all means, phone us for advice but ideally you should contact HSE NE Public Health on
HSE NE | 046-9076412 office hours |
You should avoid contact with others until you have been assessed by Public Health.
